my son Oliver attended the soccer clinic last week. He absolutely loved it. Holding the clinic in the indoor sports centre in the middle of summer is gold. He has so much energy to burn but it’s too hot to do outside clinics and with soccer being his passion, it was the perfect scenario and makes it viable. Oliver has attended previous soccer clinics (not Roar ones) and wasn’t always impressed. But he was very happy with yours.
All of the Roar staff were friendly, caring to the kids, made it fun and also made an effort to come and converse with the parents.
Well done. Very much appreciated and hope you continue to run them in school holidays as the year progresses.
I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you. My daughter attended the active program at her school, Somerville House, this afternoon and she had such a great time. She smiled the whole time!! This was her first ever taste of football and she loved it thanks to the great program your instructors (who did a wonderful job) ran. She’s playing for the Tarragindi Tigers this year, and I think will now expect every training session to be as much fun as today was. Many thanks again, I hope school organises you guys again for next year.
Just wanted to send a quick email to say how wonderful the Roar Program was at Chancellor State College. Despite the lack of the inflatable fields the trainers ensured that the kids had an amazing experience and lots of fun. My son has not played soccer before (other than at lunch at school) however he enjoyed the Roar Program greatly. He has been telling anyone who will listen just how much fun he had, and I have also been spreading the word about the way in which the trainers interacted so positively with the kids. Overall, I would like to pass on my thanks to you all for organising such a wonderful activity and for also allowing the program to go ahead on a day when it would have been perfectly understandable to cancel.

RAP Team, can I compliment you and the Brisbane Roar on the programme you ran at St Ignatius school. It was wonderful to see so many kids involved, and the professionalism and enthusiasm of your staff. I would not hesitate to recommend the program to anyone.
Just a quick note to say a BIG THANK YOU to the guys and girl who coached my children, Amy & Kyle Quinn over the past few weeks at Holy Spirit School. The coaches were fantastic, organized, patient and very funny…. We could not have expected or received any better.
My children have had a wonderful experience as this was their first introduction to soccer and being coached in general.
Please pass on our best regards to the coaches, they were super. If there are any similar activities in the future, please let us know.
Kind regards and best wishes to all at the development team,
I just wanted to pass on some feedback regarding the day at Carbrook last Wednesday…Although my son has played soccer for 6 years, this was the first time he has been to a clinic of any kind – and he loved it!!! He said that whilst some of the drills were a tad repetitive (welcome to the world of training, home life, work…) he really enjoyed it and wants to go to another one.
He made mention of a couple of things:
- it was great having Roary there
- the coaches were good
- he loved the positive feedback from the coaches
I was also very impressed by the way that one of the coaches walked up to us when we arrived to welcome and introduce himself (forgotten him name – sorry) and the way that he spoke to Nathan about the day. For a first timer, it made Nathan feel much more relaxed. The other great thing that I noticed was the punctuality. We were told that the day would start at 9am, and it did. I have seen other activity-based days where things haven’t kicked off until 20 minutes after scheduled start, and to see this level of organisation from the beginning was very comforting. It also finished on time, which is very helpful when you have other kids with other commitments on the same day.
Just wanted to let you know that my son Bailey had a fantastic time at the Roar program this afternoon. He was a little hesitant at first as he had not played soccer before and was not confident in what he was doing. At one time he got upset as he was a bit overwhelmed with it all but the guys running the program
Were fantastic and were quick to get him back on the field and happy again. The 3 men that were involved in the afternoon were amazing and so patient with all the kids no matter how trying some of them were. They had all the kids involved no matter how basic their skills were and made them feel like they were
The only ones on the field. It is such a credit to the Brisbane Roar to have such a great program to get kids involved in football and these men were outstanding at what they did. It was so nice to see such friendly, outgoing people giving there all to the kids. Well done!!
Thank you for giving our children the opportunity to participate in your program.
Hello Roar Active Program,
Just a quick email to thank you and the Team for a fantastic clinic at Redcliffe. My son Jack had a great time and was buzzing for the rest of the day! I recommended it to two friends who also took their sons – I know they enjoyed themselves too.
As always it was well organised and fun for the kids. Thank you 🙂
